Oxford, 28 January 2014. CITV has commissioned an unprecedented fourth series of Novel Entertainment’s hugely successful Horrid Henry. The 52 brand new episodes bring the total number of programmes to 208, making Horrid Henry one of the biggest animated children’s shows ever in the UK. Production is underway on the 52 x 11 minute programmes with broadcast slated for 2014.


Novel’s three times BAFTA-nominated TV show has been a huge success for CITV and the brand has been extended to include film, stage, radio and online as well as being at the heart of a successful licensing and merchandising programme. The show is consistently in the top ten most watched programmes for CITV and has a significant and growing social media following.

The animated TV series continues to be an international hit. Distribution partner Zodiak Rights has recently secured a range of new and returning broadcast deals for the property which to date has been bought by networks across the globe including Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific, ZDF Germany, RTE Eire, Mediacorp Singapore, RUV Iceland, NRK Norway, Hulu US, SVT Sweden, YLE Finland, RTP Portugal, TVP1 in Poland, Iconix in Korea and Digiturk in Turkey.
